Severe Convection and Climate

Severe convective hazards (tornadoes, large hail, wind, and excessive rainfall) pose a significant threat to life and property each year in the United States and across the globe. Our group studies severe convective storms and their associated environmental condition within the climate system, with a particular focus on climatology, climate variability and change, and predictability on subseasonal-to-seasonal time scales (2 weeks to 3+ months).
